Father Ryan High School, Nashville, Tennessee
Father Ryan High School is a private, Roman Catholic coeducational high school, located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1925 as the Nashville Catholic High School for Boys.
With the move to its present home, a master plan was created from which developed a single-phase building plan and vision for what the new campus should look like. This included a place for subsequent additions like the Neuhoff Library and Center for the Arts and the Jim Carell Alumni Athletic Complex, and the Jim Carell Fitness Center.
The 40-acre site includes academic buildings containing computer labs, science labs, and classrooms. There is also an administrative cloister building which houses art and drama rooms, band room, the dining hall, and the St. James Chapel. The field house contains three full size basketball courts, a wrestling room, workout areas, locker rooms, and coaching offices. The site also has softball, baseball, soccer, football fields and a track. The buildings are arranged around a central courtyard.
