East Gilmore Road Bridge Replacements, Mercer County
L.R. Kimball was hired to complete the replacement or rehabilitation of two bridges (65’ single span and 44’ single span, existing) in Mercer County. The scope of this project includes the anticipated replacement or rehabilitation of each structure to be done under detour. If rehabilitation, the superstructures (existing beams and steel grate bridge deck) will be replaced with prestressed concrete box beams or galvanized steel beams and a reinforced concrete deck. If a full replacement, the superstructures will be replaced as shown, and the substructures will be replaced with integral abutments or traditional cantilever abutments.
L.R. Kimball also completed the Parker Road bridge replacement for Mercer County in 2017. On this new project, we will provide complete roadway, environmental, and structure design services, as well as bridge inspection services to determine the extent of rehabilitation/replacement work necessary. Our sub-consultant team will provide geotechnical, surveying, and right-of-way acquisition services.
