Assist State of Missouri with Statewide Radio Communications and
Interoperability Planning |
|
|
L. Robert Kimball
&
Associates was recently selected by the State of Missouri to provide
consulting and engineering services related to development of a
statewide radio system.
In the course of this multi-phase project, Kimball will provide
analysis and recommendations to the State Department of Public
Safety to develop a statewide interoperability strategy and
statewide radio communications system. Kimball will prepare a
preliminary report based on the feasibility of implementing a hybrid
radio network for interoperability and state agency use.
After these initial phases of the project are completed, the firm
will develop budgetary cost estimates and implementation timelines
for the statewide network and recommended technology. Working from
the analysis of state and local government agency communication
needs, Kimball will develop a detailed Statement of Requirements and
associated Request for Proposals to be utilized as the basis of the
procurement phase.
The firm will also assist the state with the ongoing development of
its strategic plans designed to fund and promote greater statewide
interoperability. These projects are related to the Public Safety
Interoperable Communications (PSIC) grant that is being jointly
administered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the
National Telecommunications & Information Administration (NTIA). |
