Students
at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College will soon have a new
school to attend. A ribbon cutting was held in December and doors
to the former Richland High School are set to open the week of
January 21, 2008.
Kimball has assisted the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College
for over two years in the development and evaluation of space and
program needs to support their growing institution. Following
several studies and the evaluation of various facilities, Kimball
was hired to provide complete architectural and engineering services
for renovations and alterations to the existing facility.
This $8 million project involves upgrades to all building systems,
modifications to the interior building layout to accommodate
programmatic needs, and code compliance updates along with cosmetic
upgrades to create a facility identity specific to the college.
Improvements to the existing site to create additional parking were
also designed by Kimball. |
