Applying Advanced Technology to Analyzing Corridor ImpactsApplying Advanced Technology to Analyzing Corridor Impacts

New energy and infrastructure development projects can realize cost savings and better protect the environment from developing a carefully-planned corridor. Today's advanced technology can help to determine the best physical path and provide a visual comparison of alternative routes. Download it now..
Marcellus Shale Frac Flowback Disposal OptionsMarcellus Shale Frac Flowback Disposal Options

Water management issues resulting from Marcellus Shale development in Pennsylvania have been one of the most controversial topics in the drilling debate. It has raised a number of questions regarding the treatment, cost and disposal of frac flowback, which is affected by variables such as volume and water quality. In this white paper, L.R. Kimball investigates those variables. Download it now..
Developers & Airports: Working together to capitalize on Marcellus Shale explorationDevelopers & Airports: Working together to capitalize on Marcellus Shale exploration

With large tracts of available land for drilling, business park development or transportation services, airports are well-positioned to leverage a variety of Marcellus Shale opportunities. Consultants experienced in both airport development and the natural gas industry can help airport owners evaluate their options, and craft a strategic plan that meets the needs of the aviation organization. Stray Gas Migration and Vapor IntrusionsStray Gas Migration and Vapor Intrusions

Across Pennsylvania and surrounding states, there is a growing concern that Marcellus Shale drilling is a major contributor to stray gas migration. Reports of stray gas accumulation in local water supply wells, private wells, and residential and commercial structures are generating significant discussion in political and regulatory circles. This white paper discusses the contributing factors, regulations and ways to mitigate and manage stray gas migration. Download it now..
One Person Survey SystemsOne Person Survey Systems

Surveying has been one of L.R. Kimball’s primary services since the firm opened in 1953. While the industry and technology changes, our dedication to providing top quality service remains constant. This white paper discusses new equipment and applications that are changing the practice of surveying, allowing us to use smaller, often one-person, teams while providing a highly accurate product at a cost-efficient price. General Environmental Issues for Permitting of PipelinesGeneral Environmental Issues for Permitting of Pipelines

Development of major facilities, such as natural gas collection and transmission facilities, requires obtaining authorizations and permits from Federal, state and local governmental entities responsible for the protection of commerce, human health and the environment. this document presents the background, services required and capabilities available for conducting natural resource studies on major projects, in particular natural gas pipeline and aboveground facility upgrade and construction projects. however, these same requirements can also impact wind energy, water supply, transportation and mining projects. House Bill 3630

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announce it is waiving the Jan. 1, 2013 deadline to migrate to12.5 kilohertz or narrower technology for public-safety and business/industrial land mobile radio networks operating on T-Band (470'512 MHz) spectrum. The waiver comes in response to the recently enacted Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 (Act). The Act requires the FCC to reallocate the T- band and auction the spectrum within nine years and requires public-safety entities to vacate the T-band within 11 years. (full details of the T-Band giveback requirements and supporting information is described in further detail in... Read More
