L.R. Kimball and MCM Technology Create GIS Mapping Enhancement to Lifecycle 360°™ Asset Management Solutions Suite

L.R. Kimball, part of CDI’s Global Engineering and Technology Solutions organization, along with MCM Technology, LLC have developed a mapping enhancement for their Lifecycle 360°™ asset management solutions suite.

MCM’s Lifecycle 360°™ asset management solutions are specifically designed to manage and track detailed information on voice and data radio system equipment including infrastructure elements and subscriber equipment. L.R. Kimball’s geographic information systems (GIS) experts have worked with MCM programmers to develop a new map-based enhancement that provides a visual view of the equipment’s location. This GIS driven mapping enhancement, allows users to “point and click” to view equipment details, such as serial number, programming information and warranty status.

Joel McCamley, Vice-President and Division Manager of L.R. Kimball’s Communications Technology Division said, “We’re excited that our GIS/mapping talents could be applied to further enhance an already user-friendly product. We believe that one of the many uses for the system could be tracking details and locations of interoperability resources throughout Homeland Security regions.”

On teaming with L. R. Kimball, MCM’s President Tom Bartels said, “L.R. Kimball’s expertise in communications technology has always been seen as top notch. Now with their infrastructure mapping experience and our asset management experience, we believe L.R. Kimball can provide a level of software functionality never before seen in the industry.”
