About Us

History

In 1953, L. Robert Kimball, a young, decorated military veteran with service in World War II and the Korean Conflict, returned home to build his dream – a civil engineering and surveying company whose professional team would provide high-quality service to every client. After resuming his college education and graduating with a civil engineering degree from Penn State University, Mr. Kimball launched his namesake company with little more than a telephone in a two-room office.

Building a Dream

Since then, this small-town upstart company has grown to an integrated and full-service architecture, engineering and communications technology firm with more than 500 employees in 10 offices throughout the United States, serving the commercial, industrial, governmental and private marketplaces.

Our willingness to build relationships, invest in staff and equipment, and be persistent in pursuing goals has formed the foundation that has resulted in our continued growth and proven success.

An Eye to the Future

Today, Mr. Kimball continues to serve the company as senior executive consultant. In 1995, R. Jeffrey Kimball, PE, was named president and continues to build on the company’s original vision. With a focus on growing services, staff and geography, we remain committed to our long-standing reputation for delivering the highest levels of client service without exception.
